How this estimate works
This calculator combines official published averages, AIC planning assumptions and your own values. Actual tuition, rent, living costs, exchange rates and fees vary by institution, location and personal circumstances.
National average living costs: ¥105,000/month excluding tuition. National average rent: ¥41,000; Tokyo rent: ¥57,000.
Regional example uses ¥30,000 rent. Initial setup starts from two months of rent plus ¥100,000 for move-in and basic setup. Edit both values.
Known tuition, rent, living budget, preparation costs, confirmed support, available funds and BDT exchange-rate estimate override the defaults.
